2021: PDH Wrapped

This year The Cambridge Dictionary chose ‘perseverance’ as their word of the year; which is defined as a “continued effort to do or achieve something, even when this is difficult or takes a long time.”

As we wrap up our 2021,  we’re proud to say PDH has shown plenty of perseverance which has led to much success…

An award-winning year

We’re always extremely pleased to be recognised for our contribution to digital health and wellbeing - and this was certainly a year of great recognition! In no particular order…

  • Winners of SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards 2020/21 Business of the Year less than 50 Employees.

  • Shortlisted as a finalist at the Covid Response Awards for the Best Covid Response in Healthcare (up to 15M Turnover); Best Covid Response involving the Public Sector, and we won the Bronze Award for the Best Covid Response in IT / Digital.

  • SME News’ Business Elite Awards of 2022 Best in Digital Health and Social Care Solutions, 2022- UK.

  • Recognised as Best of British Business award series in association with The Independent - watch this space in 2022 for a full video and a feature in The Independent!

Continued success with our clients

Our PDH Platform continues to deliver time-saving efficiencies and seamless connectivity for our clients. This includes the Diabetes Book & Learn Platform, this is the success it has delivered to GPs using it…

And further success is seen on the platform as a whole.

Due to the customisable nature of our PDH Platform, we also see much success in boosting volunteer numbers through our work with the Essex Wellbeing Service.

This year, our software has hosted over 57,000 volunteer jobs which help vulnerable people to access the help and support they need. And we look forward to continuing to provide this vital support for many years to come.

Public health marketing campaigns

In addition to our existing social media activity, website articles and PDH Platform that we provide for the Essex Wellbeing Service, we started on another important project this year.

We were ecstatic to be selected to lead The Essex Wellbeing Service’s weight loss marketing campaign - in partnership with Provide CIC and Essex County Council.

We’ve also been leading another campaign to increase volunteer support in Essex vaccination centres.

Since leading these campaigns we’ve been able to increase volunteer sign-ups to help support more vulnerable people and our vaccination centres.

On social media - where the majority of the weight management drive is - as well as a continuous increase with our page likes, we’ve been able to achieve the below results in November 2021 alone.

Keynote speaking

Throughout the year, we were incredibly honoured to have our Co-founders and Joint CEOs speaking at various conferences and events.

This includes John Dibb being a speaker on a panel of specialists at Photon Legal's #TheFutureOfHealthTech webinar.

Later in the year, John was also a keynote speaker The Urgent Care & Patient Flow Conference 2021: Improving for the future where he led a talk on successful automation of services taking a patient-first approach.

Alison Meadows also led a talk at the Network & Learn: Resilience & Adaptability in a Post Pandemic World event. Alison shared her own expertise on this topic as well as PDH’s personal health and wellbeing contributions and the PDH approach to company culture.

If you’d like Alison and John to share their thoughts and expertise at your conference, event, webinar or podcast - please do get in touch.

Welcoming new recruits and team bonding

When we return to the office we certainly expect it to be busy! This year we recruited more Software Engineers and a Data Analyst - adding to our growing family of skilled professionals.

We also enjoyed plenty of team lunches, a bake-off, a group punting tour - and ended in true pandemic fashion with a virtual Secret Santa.

HSSF SP framework

Security, connectivity, confidentiality and ease of acquiring our software is something that is very important to us.

To add to our extensive list of certifications, accreditations and memberships- is our inclusion in the list of accredited suppliers to the NHS England Health Systems Support Framework (HSSF) for Social Prescribing. This framework helps to simplify and speed up access to our software.

Next year…

So, what does next year hold? We will be launching a game-changer in the world of digital health and wellbeing for both individuals and organisations.

We will continue to provide seamless security, connectivity, quality and efficiency via our Priority Platform.

And you can certainly expect to see even more new faces joining #TeamPDH and plenty more perseverance into the world of health and wellbeing.
